Two day workshop experimenting with abstraction of light filled forms. Late in the Impressionist movement, artists turned to expressive brushstrokes, manipulating edges into “loose’’ light filled interpretations of life. This class will introduce ways to hold paintings together while testing expressive techniques. Composition, line, drawing and edges will be discussed while students mix lively clean color during class. Kim Barrick’s engaging teaching style will infuse students with confidence to try new ways of seeing during this exciting class.
